What can you do to improve your world? Make a list. Do one thing today, however slight, such as let two people in traffic.
Forgiveness is an essential part of getting free. By forgiveness, I don’t mean thinking or saying, “There, there, honey. Everything is OK. I forgive you,” said either insincerely or through bated breath or clenched teeth.
Forgiveness is defined as acceptance that the past is not going to change.
Forgiveness does not mean that a transgression is forgotten or that the scars of the transgression are healed.
Developmental psychologists believe men’s fear of women is due to their unconscious insecurities, self-doubts, and fears of inadequacy. This has value and also risks. In my view, this view has limited value from recovery, that is, stopping what you do that puts you in harm’s way.
You can blame your mother, other people, your insecurities, and so forth for everything, and nothing changes.
Some women are inherently threatening.
• Eve ate the forbidden fruit…but it wasn’t her fault! The snake made her do it.
• True story. A woman buys a gun and shoots her ex five times. He doesn’t die. She “knows” it wasn’t her fault because she learned in therapy it takes two to tango.

Take Genesis Chapter 39. It’s a story of the abuse of a man by a woman who made a false accusation to the police about him. Inherently dangerous and threatening. Joseph, a former slave, rose to leadership in the house of Potiphar, the captain of the Egyptian king’s guard. Joe was good-looking and built. Mrs. Potiphar came at Joe looking to hook up. But Joe wisely said, uh, “No!” to this proposal. He chose not to sin against the God of Israel or betray his boss. Good thinking, right? So, Mrs. P., the woman scorned, who hath fury greater than that of hell (William Congreve, 1697), falsely accused Joe of trying to rape her. He was consequently unjustly imprisoned. (An example of abuse of men by the system.)
Joseph would have been prudent to have an escort under his employment while in Mrs. P’s presence at all times. Maybe Mrs. P. threatened to make false accusations to get Joseph to comply with her wishes. He would have been prudent to record these threats surreptitiously had he an iPhone at the time.
Judges Chapter 16. Delilah sells out Samson to the Philistines for money. (The word Palestine derives from Philistine. Delilah is from Gaza!) She betrays the secret of the source of his inhuman strength.
